Hi loves! Today's topic is how your past may affect your future. Everyone's past varies from person to person, and each person has a different story to tell. If you've ever felt like your past is going to define your future- think again! Many times we overlook our potential to create our destiny and the fact that we can make our own future, regardless of what happened before. Ladies, never let a negative experience tarnish your dreams or plans to make something bad become better! Always have confidence and believe in yourself. Time and courage will only tell what you are capable of :-) Never let anyone tell you your dreams aren't good enough or someone telling you something and bringing you down. It is up to you to determine your destiny.
Love Always,
Marina J.

Current Trends I'm Loving !
Hi loves! So spring 2014 is slowly approaching (considering we've had tons of snow!) and I just wanted to share a few of my favorite pieces that you can easily mix and match or can become staple pieces to your wardrobe collection!
The first piece I wanna talk about is a CROP TOP! This fashionable top was in style in both the 80's and 90's. They have rapidly become a fashionista's go-to top if in a rush or a night out. Madonna was the first iconic superstar who introduced us to this hot style! She rocked the crop that was a lot shorter and edgier. As shown below:

Fast forward to 2013, the crop top was back!! It came faster than your mom's hopes could have been and became an instant hit. Crops are a lot more versatile and a slight longer than before. In the 80's crops were a little lower than your breasts where now they're a bit longer. There a tons of different variety of colors, textures, and patterns; as well as loose or fitted crops. You can buy them at any fashionable store such as American Apparel or Urban Outfitters, or cut up one of your old tees and call it a day! :-) They're also an easy transition from day to night. You can throw a crop on with denim and sneakers or dress them up with a blazer and pumps. You can wear it with skirts, jeans, denim pants or any type of pants, really. If you don't already own one, definetly pick one up soon, you won't regret it, girl!
The next piece I wanted to talk about are high waisted denim jeans/shorts. Once again this is a recycled style that has been around for decades that has slowly but surely made its way back into our lives-and hearts! Below is an undated photo of Dorothy Dandridge rocking' a pair of these babies:
Checkout an updated look on these on divas:
Kylie Jenner in a pair of skinny black high waisted denim
Gorg actress Helen Flanagan in a pair of Boyfriend style high waisted denim.
Let's not forget about the high waisted denim shorts! Check out Miley Cyrus in a pair of white denim shorts:
Now lets talk about BLAZERS! A blazer is an essential piece for your wardrobe, being that you can literally wear one with ANYTHING! Blazers are the perfect last touch to any outfit. They come in different lengths and textures adding the perfect detail to your outfit. Be a casual lunch date outfit or a night at a club ensemble, or a pop of color- this piece ties it all together for a touch of sexy, casual, or elegance in one! Check out a couple outfit ideas below:
